Our community garden at 25 O’Hara Ave is a place of nourishment, both literal and metaphorical. We grow herbs, vegetables, and flowers that are shared with community members, used in our rituals, and donated to neighbours in need. It is tended collectively by volunteers across the seasons. No experience is necessary.
This house rests on the territory of the Mississauga of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat peoples, the knowledge keepers, the story tellers, the land stewards and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
We are grateful to be guests on this land and we commit to ongoing learning, listening, and action in support of Indigenous sovereignty and rights.
