Description
Grieve and Love :: A Dinner Series to Honour Endings
Grief lives in our bodies. Grief impacts our thoughts, hearts, sleep, and stomachs. We might feel incredibly hungry or have lost our appetite. This dinner series is about creating space for the part of the grief journey where suddenly the dinner table looks different. Who used to be present is no longer there. Who used to make a certain dish, will no longer provide. Yet, the memories live on and want to be witnessed and held.
Each Wednesday in November, we will gather for dinner. Participants will bring their own dinner (whatever you were going to have that night, it does not have to be fancy). We will eat together in community sharing both stories and allowing our bodies to co-regulate around this meaningful part of the day. There will also be an art making portion – for this series we will be working with clay.
Cost: $100 (includes HST) Sign up is for all four sessions. We want to be able to create a cohesive and connected container within the group.

Jewels Krauss is an Expressive Arts Therapist in training who has worked as an actor, theatre director, yoga teacher, and movement coach for two decades. Her approach to therapy is shaped by mindfulness, movement, storytelling, and exploring the various characters we play (consciously and unconsciously) in life. Jewels believes in the power of relational work that allows for deep listening, acceptance, and discoveries. As a workshop facilitator, Jewels grounds herself in years of experience with somatic attunement and the ability to hold a steady, grounded space for others to explore vulnerable states. Jewels strives to create a warm, open-hearted, safe enough environment that fosters authentic connection and a space to touch the realness of life, in all its many forms.
Jess Sgrignoli is a Yoga Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Expressive Arts Therapist in training whose work is rooted in the belief that grief is not separate from life, but a portal into deeper relationship with ourselves, one another, and the natural world. Through creative expression, embodied practices, and nature-based ritual, she creates spaces where loss, love, beauty, and belonging can be explored in community. Her work invites people to slow down, listen to the wisdom of the body, engage the senses, and discover how creativity can help transform grief into connection, meaning, and renewed aliveness.
