IMPROV for MENTAL HEALTH
with CATHY GATLIN

We will be working on improv games and accepting people’s suggestions.
Below are the types of activities our students will be doing within that time:

Warm-up Games examples: STORY AT A TIME: In a circle, the students create a story, one word at a time.  The story does not need to make sense in the warmup!

Scene Work examples: SLIDESHOW: Two people act as “slides” while a third person narrates their holiday.  If their holiday is to Jamaica, the narrator can say something like “this is the day on the beach” after a physical tableau has been made by the two participating students.

FUND YOUR PROJECT: GRANT WRITING AND FUNDING WORKSHOP
with SUSANNA REDEKOP

Susanna lends her knowledge of grant writing to our Coven for a 2 hour workshop.

Susanna is the Engagement Manager for the Investment Readiness Program, part of the Regional Initiatives Team at the Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet).  A Communications consultant with 13+ years of experience in the not-for-profit, local food and co-operatives sectors, Susanna has helped launch and support countless co-ops, social enterprises and small businesses across Ontario, including co-writing successful grants.  Now, with her experience working with the Investment Readiness Program she’s on the other side of the table and can speak from the funder’s side of grant-making.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • Various different kinds of funding and support services out there for projects like yours
  • How to get the most out of connecting with grant officers
  • How to improve writing your funding application
  • What grant-makers are looking for and how to get your business and project ready

All are welcome in any stage of applying for funding.

HOUSE CONCERT w CHRISTINA HUTT

Christina can fill a room with her rich, resonant, out-of-this era voice and move
you with her honest, charismatic delivery. Once described as a full-bodied glass of red
wine, her sound is reminiscent of the soul-stirring vocals you would have heard flowing from
a transistor radio in the late 50’s.  You will understand why Hutt has been dubbed “the
voice” in her hometown of Muskoka, Ontario. She welcomes you into the secrets of her
heart with fierce passion and endearing spirit.
She will be joined by local artists such as Graham Powell (Jann Arden, The Monkey Bunch) and maybe more.

Limited seating so book early and often.
Weather permitting we will be outside under the stars so dress for a magical evening. (think backyard Patsy Cline festival)

ONE ON ONE HUMAN DESIGN with LISA BROOKE

Human Design is a tool you can use to understand the why and how you move through your life.

Combining modern physics with the ancient wisdom of the chakra system, vedic astrology, kabbalah, and the I Ching a Human Design reading reveals a personal chart that is unique to you. Once equipped with your Strategy you can break old patterns and move forward into a life with more confidence and flow.

What to Expect To Learn From Your Human Design Reading

• It will reveal your individual Personality Type, your Strategy and the proper method to use for making decisions.

• You will see a version of yourself you likely haven’t seen in awhile. Many people describe this experience as seeing themselves ‘before the world got in’. It’s you, but returned to your ‘factory settings.’

• You will learn the grand design for you life

• You are strongly encouraged to bring a journal to capture the information you’ll learn. It’s a lot.

“You’ve always had the power, my dear.
You just had to learn it for yourself.”

RED TENT THURSDAYS

Every 28 days/on the new moon closest to Thursday of each month we will gather at Community OutWitch with only a toonie and a sharing snack.
This is a time to connect to our village, talk about our intentions and let off a little steam. Every meeting we will discuss one topic/issue in our communities or the world at large, something we can throw our
Witchy intentions behind.

COST: $2.

Next Red Tent: Request a free gathering
Topic:  – being seen when you feel like you are invisable or just a bookshelf.

MAGICAL ACTIVISM

Letter writing, protests, elections, letter writing,
volunteering, charities/donations.
These causes will be within the scope of what we support:
LGBTQ2, Indigenous communities, women and children,
BLM, and reproductive rights.

This may be as simple as sitting around and
writing emails/letters to our government or as
complicated as attending a protest at the US embassy.

Gather in our space, and make positive change for yourself,
the community and the world.
